Additional Time Test Practice - 25, 50 and 75 Addition Problems

As mentioned throughout the year, students knowing their addition facts is critical for math skills in 1st grade and beyond. We started Quarter 2 with 10 mad math facts per week. Students then took a 1 minutes mad math time test on Fridays. Last week, we started week #11 which increased to 20 addition facts. Students took their first 2 minute time test this past Friday. For the remainder of the year, we will continue practicing a variety of addition and subtraction facts. However, we will not test beyond 20 problems (2 minutes). Second grade will start at 100 addition problems in 10 minutes. To help your child, I encourage you to download and practice the following addition time tests at home. If your child is successful with the 10 and 20 mad math time tests, move onto the 25 problem worksheet. Then move onto the 50 and 75 when your child is ready. For starters just let your child get use to filling in all the problems without worrying about time. Eventually if you would like to add time, you can give them 1 minute for every 10 problems. I will also make 25, 50 and 75 subtraction worksheets as we move into subtraction mad math. Please let me know if you have any questions. I also posted these worksheets in the "Curriculum tab" above. To download click on the down arrow at the bottom of the document.
