Science: Mealworms to Beetles

In science, we have been studying animal habitats. To get an up close and personal look, we brought mealworms into the classroom. We have watched them in their habitat, gave them food, and talked about our observations. The kids loved watching the mealworms and students have deepened their understanding about what animals need in their habitat to survive. In the next few days (few weeks possibly), we will be observing our mealworms change from larva (mealworms) to pupa to beetle. Watch the change in photos below.
