Learning Outdoors - EE Day Recap

Our EE Day on Tuesday was filled with outdoor learning all day long. Our class even had gym at McColl Pond. First graders learned about signs of spring, butterflies, pond life and lots about birds. Each grade level got a chance to meet with a naturalist from the Richardson Nature Center. Our naturalist helped us learn what makes a bird a bird with a very fun dress-up demonstration (thanks to a willing participant). We also got a chance to see a real ducks foot. Students enjoyed this special time learning without walls.
