Each year the staff at each school in the district nominates a handful of teachers for Teacher of the Year. Staff in each building then vote on one teacher. I am excited to announce that I have been named the 2012-13 Glendale Teacher of the Year. I am thrilled to be the Teacher of the Year at Glendale. It's a tremendous honor.
I couldn't do what I do each day without the amazing staff at Glendale. Glendale is not just a place I work, It's a home-away-from-home, it's family, it's friends and it's like no other place I've ever known. I also have to thank my students and the paras I work with daily for taking risks and trusting me. My students are the #1 reason why I strive to make learning relevant. I would also like to thank all of you as parents. Thank you for being flexible and willing to try so many new pieces of technology over the last 1+ years as we incorporate those pieces into various content areas.
