Birthday Clarification

If you would like to participate in the birthday book program at Glendale, I have included the form in the above "Documents to Download" tab. This is optional. If interested, please send in the form along with cash prior to your child's birthday. Your child will bring the form to the Media Center and purchase a book with the dollar amount you have given them. After the book has been entered into the system, your child will be the first to check it out. Despite the no birthday treats, students are really enjoying celebrating birthdays in a variety of other ways. On your child's birthday, he/she gets to sit in the special birthday chair throughout the day, we make him/her a poster describing his/her characteristics and we do a special Smartboard activity where Micky Mouse and the gang sings your child a special birthday song. Reminder - please do not send anything into school with your child on his/her birthday other than the form/money. If your child has a birthday in the summer, please let me know if you would like to celebrate their half birthday or if you would like to celebrate their birthday in June. As always, on your child's birthday you are welcome to come in and join him/her for lunch if you are available. Unfortunately, we are unable to allow students to pass out party invitations. You are welcome to use past Buzz Books or purchase a Buzz Book from the office and mail classmates invitations.
