Science In the Classroom: Mini Tornados in Water Bottles
This week, we launched our introduction into our new National Geographic science curriculum. On Monday, we talked about safety in Science. On Tuesday, we learned about scientist Tim Samaras who is a storm chaser. In honor of Tim, we spent Wednesday and Thursday making mini tornados with water bottles all while using the scientific method we learned about through Tim. Check out the video to see our thinking, observations and conclusions.

ReplyDeleteGreat work, First Grade. I am in Marple near Stockport in England!! I found your excellent experiment video through Tim Samaras' s Facebook site. I shall pass it onto my daughter who is studying to be a teacher. Hope that is ok. Best wishes to you all. Keep up the good work!! Clare Whittam x
