Writing Notebooks - New Weekly Homework Routine

Each Friday or the last day of the week, your child will be bringing home their writing notebook that they recently decorated. The first few pages of the notebook are various resource pages you and your child can reference. Pages include: handwriting letter formation, 1st grade sight words and how to write a 5 star sentence. Each week, I will glue a new writing prompt into their notebooks. Students are asked to respond over the weekend. Handwriting should be neat. Sight words should be spelled correctly. Sentences should include all the 5 star elements. Students are encouraged to write 2-3+ sentences. Students are welcome to write as much as they would like. Please check their writing and return their notebooks on Monday.
