Students Learn to Play Four Square Game from 5th Graders

Today, four 5th graders from Mrs. Vlasak's class came to our classroom to help teach 1st graders how to play four square. Students expressed interest in learning the game earlier in the week so I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn a new game for recess or outside break. The 5th graders went over basic rules and strategies. Then we went outside to practice. The 1st graders got to see how 5th graders play the game. This was a great opportunity to watch them play, learn strategies and watch good sportsmanship. Then each 5th grader took a group of six 1st graders to practice. More photos on Shutterfly.
