Celebrating Autism Awareness Day on Tuesday, April 10

The fifth annual World Autism Awareness Day is April 2, 2012. Every year, autism organizations around the world celebrate this day with unique awareness-raising events.  Due to Spring Break, Glendale will honor Autism Awareness Day on Tuesday, April 10th.  Staff and students are encouraged to wear red, yellow, royal blue, or light blue as represented by the Autism Awareness Ribbon. Students will also be provided with an autism ribbon sticker to wear that day.  Teachers will be presenting short video clips in their classrooms to explain autism and raise awareness on how we can be a better friend to children with autism.
